94 Weddings, 41 Milestones, 10 Public Events, 7 Parties, 5 Corporates and 4 Virtual Events – I can finally say that the events and entertainment industry is officially back!
2020 and 2021 were the most challenging years for the industry. With the restrictions on gatherings and events imposed by public authorities, our services remain halted until things got better. But when 2022 entered, a bright beam of hope shone as we were overwhelmed on how everybody missed the celebrations! From special family occasions to the biggest shows, hosts are back with a bang to bring the good times and good vibes of the good life!
As early as January, I’ve already started expanding my network having been joined as member of the Wedding Suppliers Association of the Philippines (WSAP). We had our chances of showing and promoting ourselves to prospect clients across all regions in the country via a series of virtual talks or interviews especially during the Ilocos Online Wedding Expo.
In my home province of Ilocos Norte, it was of great honor to be Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc’s program voiceover during his State of the Province Address (SOPA) and a perennial host of some of the biggest events such as the Himala sa Buhangin Arts and Music Festival for the fourth time; fifth-time emcee of Miss Banna pageant; second-time host of Miss Currimao and Miss Vintar pageants plus yuletide season events like Laoag City’s Christmas Lighting and Robinsons Mall’s Christmas Tribute. Finally, my very first in the Miss Pasuquin pageant which also concluded my 2022 bookings.
Aside from weddings and milestone events that have been most of the junctures I’m hosting, 2022 provided new places to visit, new opportunities to venture in and new people to work with. To name a few, I’ve gone to the province of Cagayan for a rally event; hosted the Mr. & Ms. NLEX Ambassador Virtual Pageant of North Luzon Expressway Corporation; an online gathering of all members under the Credit Card Association of the Philippines during their 42nd Anniversary and; two grand openings of Globe EasyHub in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and Candon City, Ilocos Sur.
Speaking of Ilocos Sur, this year also paved the way for me to return on the said neighboring province to host events. Alongside family occasions there, I’ve also administered one of GMA Network’s Fiesta Caravans held in Vigan during their Raniag Festival and privileged to have emceed three of the province’s big events – Saniata ti Ylocos Sur (Miss Ilocos Sur) Pageant, Ilocos Sur’s Tourism Month Celebration and Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur’s Christmas Party, the biggest get-together I’ve hosted so far!
But the biggest highlight last year is when I opened my books for National Capital Region clients and began hosting events in Metro Manila. With a great start during the 75th Anniversary Dinner of Philippine Pediatric Society in Sofitel Philippine Plaza and Angel Gabrielle’s 18th Birthday at The Manila Hotel, it was a different yet exciting experience as it made me work with Metro’s event experts and have carried my hosting to the next level!

As it has been another fruitful year of hosting, promotional activities and projects also came when I’ve proudly presented various products offered by companies and known brands such as Havaianas and Toyota. As hosts also play a great part in terms of marketing initiatives, I began offering my newest service – brand promotions.
In all the years I’ve been working in the industry since 2015, 2022 is my year of distinction and gratitude having been awarded as one of the country’s top-voted wedding/event host for two consecutive times (Top 20 and Top 30) during the Wedding Suppliers Association of the Philippines – People’s Choice Awards and recognized by the Asian Sterling Awards’ Team as an Outstanding Event Hosting Services Provider in the locality.
Indeed, there are so much to be thankful for and we can't for more blessings to pile up this 2023! As your passionate host from the north, I'd be very much glad to bring more best moments that all my clients deserve. See you on the next occasions everybody!
