Nothing is considered small when you dream and work for bigger stages and opportunities! As a host who started emceeing in traditional local weddings, community gatherings, church programs and campus activities receiving minimal talent fees to pro bono, our humble beginnings and story of perseverance have brought us to the Top 10 Most Talented Emcees of Southeast Asia. I must say that life is truly full of surprises!

Upon receiving the email, I glanced how everything started and how these two quotes inspired me: "big things come from small beginnings" and "the best things are in a form of surprises." True as we say that, "dreaming big and the result will also be big", these contribute to my active status in the present industry having been emceed more than eight hundred events for the past eleven years. They always give me the strong will to continue the legacy of my work and bring celebrations to a higher level that everyone deserves. And that's how dedication and passion both play to where I am today.

Honestly, I never aimed very high in life with all the fame nor have vigorously competed in the field and be the best among the others, no—never. I just live and strive to survive, enjoy the things I've worked hard for and make sure that we won't be left out financially. It's also a matter of working with delight, surpassing personal and professional challenges, discovering opportunities, accommodating clients the best way I can and celebrate with them as their emcee—which is more than just a paid job and freelance work ("raket").

You see, when clients consider and book us for their occasions, it isn't the fee or income that we're talking about. Not even the prestige or exposure they bring or an event to count every year-end. It's a matter of trust and satisfaction. Clients see what you're capable of and they can also feel if you deserve the role. Actually, we don't just impress our celebrators, but everyone in the venue. Treating clients and guests as opportunities can be the key to the biggest doors and tickets to exciting professional adventures. So by putting our best foot forward everytime and everywhere, we unexpectedly receive blessings and events to work in. That's the beauty of surprises plus client confidence.

To some, this may be a special feature, promotion and international recognition. To me, it's a reflection of hardwork, result of progress and fruit of consistency. Immensely honored, it's more than a proud way to hold our country's name and a story to tell about a person who simply lives, fervently performs and unceasingly thrives despite all the challenges in life.
